So if you’ve been scrolling through my blog you will find lots of things I love and feel passionate about. But there’s one thing I’ve yet to share- until now!
I LOOOOOOVE sweet things. To be more specific, I love cake, cookies and… chocolate. And sadly, as I never won the speedy metabolism lottery, this doesn’t bode well for me. It means unless I want to venture down a path of sheer misery that involves cutting out sweets completely, I’m destined to have a bit of a tummy. But just like Santa who is also a little rotund, I don’t mind spending my days happy and jolly.Â
Now don’t get me wrong, I still try to be as healthy as possible by eating nutritiously on a plant-based diet. But when I do decide to go forgo the very calorific sweets, I satisfy my cravings with the following decadent recipe.
Seriously, if you have the sweetest of the sweet tooth’s then try my little creation below!
MmmELTED PEANUT BUTTER CUP (V/GF)
This takes less than 2 minutes and is super rich as well as satisfying. Also check your ingredients, as this can be easily made vegan and gluten free!
Prep Time 1 minute / Total Time 2 minutes
Servings 1
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons of peanut butter
- 4 squares of dark chocolate
Calories (who the hell cares but if you do…)
- Approx 260 cals- Most of them being from a great source of energy if you’re using natural ingredients!
Instructions
- Pop ingredients into a microwave safe bowl and microwave for 30-45 seconds.
- Once out of the microwave stir with a spoon and enjoy!
Tips
- If you want to make it sweeter, add a little bit of agave (or honey if you’re a ‘Beegan’!)
- If you want more of thick consistency, up the amount of peanut butter.
- And if you want to make it go a little further, add a splash of dairy-free milk after it’s been in the microwave and then stir it in.
