Olaplex is Worth All the Hype

Haven’t heard about the hair product that is changing the way we care for our hair? Well let me introduce you to Olaplex.

If you are looking to improve the condition of your hair use Olaplex.

So how does it work?

OLAPLEX restores hair that has suffered damage from coloring or styling by repairing from the inside (unlike other treatments and conditioners that work on the hair from the outside by smoothing down the cuticles). Olaplex uses a patented single ingredient called Bis-Aminopropyl Diglycol Dimaleate that gets inside the hair follicle.

The result? Smooth, shiny and healthy looking hair.

Olaplex recommends that you use the Olaplex hair products in a particular order; “steps”.

Olaplex Steps 1 & 2 are done whilst you are in the salon to protect it from any chemical damage. Steps 3, 4 and 5 are what you should definitely be doing at home if you want to improve your hairs condition.

Olaplex Step 3

Olaplex Step 3 is similar to a hair mask. You want to be able to leave it in your hair for some time. I like to dampen my hair first and apply Olaplex 3 an hour before washing my hair. Just as a heads up, I did not see any results from using Olaplex 3 by itself. It wasn’t until I began using Olaplex 4 & 5 that I began to see a huge difference in the health of my hair.

Olaplex Step 4

Olaplex Step 4 is a shampoo. It feels different upon application and it doesn’t ‘lather up’ easily. I like to add a bit of water to my head after applying the shampoo.

Olaplex Step 5

Olaplex Step 5 is a conditioner. Pro-tip; try to squeeze access water out before applying this conditioner. Once applied, try to leave Olaplex 5 on your hair for at least 3 minutes.

Now you know how and what Olaplex products you should be using, let me tell you why you should start implementing Olaplex into your hair care routine.

Since using Olaplex I have noticed a huge difference in my hair. My hair is less knotty and easier to brush. My hair is definitely shinier. But the biggest benefit I’ve noticed is that Olaplex has really helped my hair grow without the ends of my hair splitting. Being bleached blonde and a lover of a curling iron, my hair always looked frayed and in need of a trim. Since using Olaplex this hasn’t been the case. The ends of my hair look so much healthier!

If you color or chemically treat your hair, use Olaplex.
