This past week New York has seen a sudden shift in the temperature. No longer are we blessed with the unusual November warmth, but instead winter is finally here.
As luck would have it, Netflix has given us the perfect excuse to stay home in the form of the brilliant and excellent-acted The Queen’s Gambit. Not only does this show boast a female lead- an intellectual one at that, this Netflix masterpiece is stunningly satisfying to look at. Whether you love fashion, architecture, home decor or attractive people, it is all pleasing to the eye.
If you watched The Queen’s Gambit and loved the mastery of the costumes by Gabrielle Binder, you can stare at them in more awe here in a virtual exhibit by Netflix and The Brooklyn Museum. It also has costumes from The Crown- yes THE wedding dress…
Yes it is a sign of the times but it’s rather lovely to do this in solitude and not worry if there is someone behind you waiting to get closer behind you.
